About the project

AEvO — Approach for Evolutionary Career Orientation — was born from a
shared European belief: every young person deserves a supportive,
inspiring environment to grow, explore, and build their future.

In the rapidly changing world of education and work, young adolescents
are faced with choices that deeply influence their personal, social, and
professional paths. Yet many students struggle with motivation,
self-confidence, or understanding their own potential. Traditional guidance
methods often focus on academic information, overlooking identity,
emotions, and personal aspirations.

AEvO introduces a new, evolutionary approach to guidance.
The project develops a structured pathway that helps students discover
who they are, what they value, and how they can shape their future. This
includes their personal identity, civic awareness, strengths, learning
preferences, and first reflections about jobs and opportunities.

Rather than offering guidance as an isolated activity, AEvO integrates
orientation throughout school life. It encourages teachers to adopt
innovative, student-centred activities: reflective exercises, digital tools,
collaborative tasks, hands-on exploration, and opportunities to connect
learning with real life.

A central element of AEvO is its commitment to inclusion and equal
opportunities. The project promotes gender-sensitive guidance,
challenges stereotypes, and ensures that every learner — regardless of
background, ability, or social conditions — can access motivating pathways
toward their goals.

Over three years, the four partner organisations will collaborate to
co-create:
► a full Orientation Pathway for young learners,
► a set of teacher-friendly tools and ready-to-use activities,
► examples of good practices from participating schools,
► and opportunities for local experimentation, training, and exchange.

Through this cross-country collaboration, AEvO aims to build a European
model of guidance that is inclusive, modern, and transformative,
helping young people navigate their present while preparing confidently
for their future.
